Usergroup

Complete guide to managing user groups in Moyee - viewing, adding, editing, and setting module access for each user group such as Administrator, Project Admin, Recruiter, and others.

Overview

The Usergroup menu displays all user groups that have access to the system. This feature allows you to manage user groups, define descriptions and categories, and set module access for each group.

The Usergroup page is located within the Setup menu.

Group List Display

The group list page displays two main sections: the group list in the left sidebar and the details table on the right.

Group Name Sidebar

The left sidebar displays a list of all available groups.

The table on the right displays descriptions and categories for each group.

Search Feature

A search column is available to easily find groups by name.

How to use:

  1. Click on the search column
  2. Type the keyword you want to search for (based on group name)
  3. Search results will appear automatically in the sidebar

Adding a New Group

To add a new group, click the New Group button.

Group Form

The group form page displays a form for entering new group data.

Form Components:

Category Options:

  • App - For groups with main application access
  • Dashboard - For groups with dashboard and specific module access

How to Fill the Form:

  1. Category
    • Select the appropriate category
    • App for groups with application access (example: Employee Back Office, Driver)
    • Dashboard for groups with dashboard access (example: Recruiter, Executive)
  2. Name
    • Enter a unique group name
    • Example: Supervisor, Manager, Field Staff
  3. Description
    • Enter a description explaining the group's role
    • Example: Performs field supervision and project monitoring
  4. Click Save to save the new group
  5. Click Cancel to cancel

Group Actions

On each group row in the details table, action buttons are available to manage the data.

Details

To view group details:

  1. Click the Details icon on the group row you want to view
  2. Complete information about the group will be displayed
  3. Includes description, category, and access modules

Access

The Access feature is used to set which modules the group can access.

Delete

To delete a group:

  1. Click the Delete icon on the group row you want to delete
  2. Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears
  3. The group data will be permanently deleted
Warning: Deleting a group will affect all users who are members of that group. Ensure there are no active users before deleting the group.

Usergroup Access

The Usergroup Access page is used to set module access rights for each group.

Group Information

The top of the page displays information about the group being configured:

  • Group Name: Administrator
  • Description: Opens all systems

List Access Module

List of modules that the group can access.

Granted All Modules

  • Indicator that the group has access to all modules
  • Usually for the Administrator group

Module Structure

Module Name:

  • Konek
  • Moyee
  • Employee Database

Employee Database Sub-modules:

  • Personal Information
  • Medical Checkup
  • Employee History
  • Family
  • Education

How to Set Access:

  1. Select the group to be configured from the group list
  2. Click the Access icon on that group's row
  3. The Usergroup Access page will open
  4. Check or uncheck the modules to grant access
  5. For full access, check "Granted All Modules"
  6. Click Save to save the access configuration
  7. Click Cancel to cancel

Group Categories

Groups are grouped by category:

Usage Tips

  1. Give descriptive group names - Use names that clearly reflect the role and responsibilities.
  2. Group with the right categories - Separate groups by App and Dashboard categories for easier management.
  3. Informative descriptions - Fill descriptions clearly to easily understand each group's function.
  4. Set access carefully - Grant module access according to the job requirements of each group (principle of least privilege).
  5. Review access periodically - Conduct regular evaluations of group access rights to ensure they remain relevant.
  6. Avoid duplication - Before creating a new group, ensure no group with a similar function already exists.

  • Konek - Connection and integration module
  • Moyee - Main application module
  • Employee Database - Employee database

Module Level 2 (Employee Database Sub-modules)

  • Personal Information - Employee personal data
  • Medical Checkup - Medical checkup data

  • Family - Family data
  • Education - Educational history

Troubleshooting

Cannot add a new group

  • Ensure all required fields (marked with *) are filled
  • Check if the group name is already in use
  • Ensure the category is selected
  • Refresh the browser page
  • Ensure search keywords are correct
  • Try scrolling the sidebar to see all groups

Failed to save form

  • Ensure the group name format is valid
  • Check your internet connection
  • Try with a different group name

Cannot set access

  • Ensure the group is selected
  • Click the Access icon on the correct row
  • Refresh the page if necessary

User not getting access after configuration

  • Ensure the user is in the correct group
  • Recheck the module access configuration
  • The user may need to log out and log back in
